![]() ![]() My bezel around the gauge cluster and radio was already modded for the double din so I didn't have to change anything. I also made the connection of said "hot when reverse" wire pluggable. Thankfully the camera comes with the hot wire from the back up lights routed all the way to the RCA plug in front so I was able to solder that together. Understandable, as there are a couple more signals - parking brake and reverse. ![]() Of course the old pioneer harness does not work. If you don't already have a camera you have to unwrap the wiring harness and tap the reverse light connectors. I cut the wires tapping into the reverse lights to solder on the new wires. ![]() As luck would have it, two of the holes in the plastic pieces lined up with holes on the side of the stereo, so no drilling was needed.Īs I had a video cable to pull out i was able to tape new and old cable together and pull the new one through the hole behind the rear seat together, so I didn't have to disassemble the rear seat again. I cut off the two trim pieces on both the side mounts, thus shortening the sides so i was able to move them toward the back of the stereo the missing 3/4 inch. This kit moves the stereo back about 3/4 inch from the position the old frame had it and guess what? There is no 3/4 inch behind the headunit. The P800BT is very slightly smaller than the AVH-4200NEX and the Scosche frame I had was just a bit too small for the unit, so I ended up buying a Metra 95-5417 kit. I had a Pioneer P800BT headunit (double DIN) and thought installation would be fairly easy. I was tired of the cheap backup camera that came with my dashcam and decided to do something about it and bought a Pioneer AVH4200NEX and a GoGo Roadless rearview camera from Amazon. ![]()
